Empowering Asian Sports with Heat Pump Solutions
As the official supplier of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou and an official partner of the 18th Asian Games in Jakarta, NEWNTIDE delivered sustainable energy solutions to competition venues, athlete villages, and technical official villages alike.
Take the swimming center at Jakarta’s GBK sports complex as an example. Originally relying on a massive 6,000kW electric heating system, the swimming center consumed approximately 75,000 kWh of electricity per day. To improve efficiency and sustainability, the center was upgraded with 30 high-performance air source heat pumps from NEWNTIDE. After the upgrade, daily energy consumption dropped to 16,000 kWh — saving 59,000 kWh per day, equivalent to 23,600 kg of standard coal. The impressive energy-saving performance of the system was highly praised by the Jakarta Asian Games Organizing Committee.
At the Hangzhou Asian Games, NEWNTIDE supplied 42 heat pump water heaters for the Shaoxing Rock Climbing and Baseball & Softball Venues, and 1,480 units of heat pumps to provide heating and cooling for the Technical Officials’ Village — once again proving its excellence in supporting large-scale sporting events.
